Very good lovely rooms, and ideally situated for L1 or museums. Would highly recommend.

Well located, friendly check in. Getting in to the suite, it looked great to start with, but the furniture was rather uncomfortable. I went to have a shower (shower head positioned too low on the wall - you'd have to have been about 4'8" to fit under it, and even then it'd be a squeeze!) and it didn't work. Called reception and they told us to adjust the valve on top of the shower fitting! This didn't work, and a member of staff came up to the room. They managed to get the shower working to less than 50% capacity, but even at the coldest, the water scolded me when I put my hand under it. We were moved to a smaller room, where the bathroom was great. There were no plugs by the bed and the lighting was poor. Trying to do your make up was a bit of a struggle. The door was locked after 11pm but we were told 24 hour access was available through an intercom. We arrived back at the hotel at around 12:45, and didn't get in until 1am. A couple in front of us had been waiting even longer. It took the doorman from the bar next door to get the manager to let us in. The floorboards are extremely creaky and my friend getting up in the night woke me up, despite me being a fairly heavy sleeper. I wouldn't return here, but there are certainly worse places to stay.

My wife and I would always stay at this hotel. However, after a 2 year gap the hotel is a shadow of it's former self. I experienced many issues with my room. I did get a discount, but I am sad to say i will not be staying there again.

Lovely, large rooms, friendly staff, great bathroom, bed, towels, etc. I recommend bringing any toiletries, as they provide hand soap, shampoo and lotion only. Wonderful location!
