  Bedrooms very well equipped. We have stayed on quite a few occasions and the buffet breakfast never hot enough. The kitchen needs refurbishment so hot food can be served "hot". This lets the whole hotel down as the reception area on leisure facilities are top notch. No lifts so you need to ask for ground floor if you ave any walking problems. Free car park and WIFI. Bus service outside if you want to go into the city centre.

  Attend swimming often, nice facities however although paying for pool use via another company we don't get use of towels, more a pain than anything. However still one of the better places around. Pool staff always very good and helpful!

  I am mortified by The way I was spoken today was disgraceful. I was told to read small print like I was a child. I had been in earlier in the week with my 2 grandchildren and told I could not take them in without another adult . Both my grandchildren are ADHD and one is also Autistic. My family are regular attendees to the pool and we have never been treated in this way before. My granddaughter is very vocal when enjoying herself and feel that this is the issue when we were there. Nobody said anything whilst I was there. I understand the policy of being 8 years old but I am more interested the disgusting way I was spoken to and practically thrown out. I made my excuses and left as I was mortified

  One star for this particular property due to the worst customer service from an international chain hotel. I was unable to travel recently to get to this hotel due to all means of transport coming to a standstill in Scotland during the worst snow storm Britain has seen in 50 years. The hotel was unyielding when I asked whether I could have a refund or a Marriott credit for a future stay. This was purely a case of a weather disaster impeding travel and the right to refund or credit my stay was purely at the discretion of this hotel. I am completely disgusted by this Marriott and the Marriott family as a whole for offering no solution whatsoever.

  Hugely disappointed with standard of room cleanliness during a recent two night stay. Stains on surfaces and carpet. Bathroom floor was stained too. One of the windows was almost completely covered in a white scale which just looks awful 'for a deluxe room'. Coffee mugs in the room were dirty. Evening meal on first night was ok but service was poor. Meal on second night was good and service was great - at least one member of staff was customer focused. Breakfast (food and service) on first morning is really not worth talking about. By the second morning the food was less dried out but service remained poor. Ladies changing room at the swimming pool is grotty, toilet appeared blocked and water would have gone into the changing room if it wasn't for the floor drain by the sinks. But the water was seeping into the two shower cubicles right beside the toilet. Whole building needs a proper clean. Definitely not up to the standard it was at this time last year. Rewards card will be returned - big disappointment.
