  The main selling point of this hotel is the central location. Other than that I would not recommend the place. The rooms are tired and the bathrooms very basic (also tired). The hotel restaurant is considerably over priced and serves a mix of fresh and what must be pre-prepared food. Food quality ranges from acceptable to weatherspoons standard so just set your expectations. The restaurant area is the nicest part of the hotel by a long way.

  Friendly staff not starched like other hotels! Food is really nice well worth a visist even if your not staying at the hotel.... Centrally located........ down side; slooooooo lift Plus side.... beautiful historic building.... well worth taking the stairs to your room as it still retains its original features.. Nice food and selection of cocktails.

  Had Sunday lunch at hotel. Excellent service with a smile. Compliments to chef on tender succulent lamb roast and beef delicious. All the veg came in little pans and contemporary styled hot dishes. Nice choice of desserts & coffees.Good ambience with DJ music. A good experience with family and friends and hope to be back! Thank you.

  Went to the ABode Manchester with a friend for dinks and evening meal. We were seated straight away and offered drinks immediately. We asked if we could have food a little later as we had gone in early. With it being a quieter time they had no issue with this. When we ordered the food we didn't have to wait long until the food arrived. I had the burger which was well cooked, but still juicy. Food was presented well too. Service was excellent and the staff very friendly. The decor was lovely with a modern stylish look.

  Things you'll definitely notice? Great front desk service. The lift is slower than a snail. The food is amazing. The heater might be off in the room but the Hot water pipes will heat your room up to 22C in hours. YOU will need the air-con to be on to survive. The location is superb. Final thoughts? If you know the quirks of this place, it's easier to stay here. Otherwise, expect some weird surprises.
