  £600 for an agency fee!!! this should be illegal. Tenants need to refuse this because they will always abuse it if people pay it.

  The worst experience I have had from an agency. The lack of professionalism was astounding. Beware of their complete an utter incompetence. They will not fix any issues during your tenancy instead you will be passed around their office explaining the problem over and over (this went on for 9 months, with days taken off work for no-show contractors) and this is after reporting issues via the online portal where no one responds. Alder King branch manager fobbed me off to the head of property Lindsay Sim, after exchanging emails, it proved too difficult for her to help a tenant with no hot water, broken washing machine, and no showering facilities 3 months in. I am yet to receive my deposit back despite a successful check-out report which was carried out on the 5th December 2017. I was told via telephone and email correspondence with Oliver Canning and Chloe Smith to allow 10 working days. It has now been 3 months. If you're looking for a stress free letting, avoid this agency.

  I am lost for words at the sheer incompetence of this letting agents. We are guarantors, there were errors with the initial paperwork which was as if we were the tenants! The guarantor paperwork being completed by a staff member and submitted without us completing it and the only reason I realised was when an automated email was received. But mainly the phone calls and letters to advise rent arrears, the person we are guaranteeing has sent copies of payments to show he is not in arrears but apparently they contact everyone! regardless of who has actually not paid. As it happens no one is in arrears, they admit an error on their part but today I still receive a letter advising of arrears. Can never get through to the office! The time and effort that goes into responding to their errors is unacceptable. A complaint has been made, lets see if there is a response. BEWARE.... if you want a smooth, hassle free transaction then go elsewhere
