Barry Bishop
::Large interesting Church
Richard Dawson
::A stunning building with a rich, interesting history. Perfect venue for choral music, and the organ is one of the finest in the city.
Daniel Ruiz
::Regular activities and gigs, check them out
Westpier
::As a rock concert venue it looks great, spacey, soft drinks only bar (I think its BYO for booze, though not sure as I don't drink). Being on only one level viewing my be more tricky for shorter people, if you go to the sides the huge pillars can get in the way. The toilets are also a bit of a trek. Being in a residential area the bands also come on very early. The real downside is the sound, Beach House was just about ok in places but not very loud, whilst Deerhunter was very poor sound. The high ceilings and all the space means it reverberates all over the place. Maybe the venue works for other bands but not the two I've seen. Shame as its walking distance for me.
Elliot Corner
::Played multiple concerts there, and as a venue it is incredible. Ideal place to hold a medium-large scale show or concert. As a church it is lovely, with vaulted ceilings and a massive organ. Staff are helpful and friendly, and a great community feel emanates from every corner.
