  I already forgot when was it last time that I have slept on a ~60cm wide, army style, bed. My room was not much larger than the bed itself though... and the bathroom had barely enough space to turn around (no am not overweight). Continental breakfast is quite basic and the only nutritious component - cheese - was in consistently low supply throughout the days I was there. Narrow and even dangerous stairways, room doors absolutely not soundproof... On the upside, the hotel is quite close to the city center, parking onsite, fast WiFi.

  Something out if the 80's in decor but good food, breakfast and dinner. Rooms comfy, warm and clean - ensuite was shower, no bath, and a very small door into it so anyone a little larger than average may not be able to access it. No sign of garden outside conservatory, just a very dated and grotty 'coach house' which we declined to stay in. Fire alarm went off many times during our stay, both day and during the night!!! Close to city centre, certainly walking distance in the summer across Jesus Green. Will look around more instead of going back.

  Good on location and parking in a city where both matter. 3 star rooms, reasonable service, chaotic breakfast where the basics can be all eaten up. I would stay again and pay for the cooked breakfast. Note that some tariffs leave you paying £9 for parking. With £9.50 for a decent breakfast as well, I paid almost £100 for a single out of season. Television was on a wall I could barely see. But this is Cambridge so you may have to just suck it up.

  Our experience was pretty decent. Room was good a tad cold but they gave us a portable heater and that helped a lot. The room views were amazing. Continental breakfast...meh... dinner was good. Location pretty good.

  We ate supper at Arundel House Hotel on New Year's day, only because all the local hostelries were closed after the festive season. It worked out very well - the service was more than adequate and the food was good (soup of the day and the beef-in-beer casserole). There is a choice to eat in the conservatory or the main restaurant - the conservatory seemed to be a favourite with other guests and so we ate there. Having said all that, the cost (when compared with a pub supper) was probably about twice what we had planned for the evening, and it was only when leaving that I noticed that they had draught beer available (including my all-time favourite: Green King IPA). We had chosen to have glasses of house wine, and I would have preferred the beer, but then I never asked ... Recommended if you are happy to pay hotel prices for a pleasant ambience and good service.
