  4 of us lived in one of their houses 2 years ago and I'm pretty sure the review I left was deleted. Some of the reviews on here mention the houses not being clean when moving in and then getting charged for this when moving out which definitely happened to us. We never ever met the landlord in the full year we were in this house... They sent some minions round to fix a leak in the bathroom several times that was never fixed breaking a few of the things in our living room. The boiler sounded like world war 2 every time anyone got a shower.. Which was never attended too and probably the worst was one Friday night the alarms all started randomly going off. We were unable to sort this and were completely unable to get in touch with both avatars emergency (24 hour line) and the landlord. We ended up leaving the house and came back on Sunday and it was still going off. Well sad to say we ended up cutting a few wires in the box till it stopped. Horrible agency and some of the staff are rude. I needed to get the keys back the morning after we moved out as I left lots of work vouchers in a draw, they didn't allow this as apparently keys were out for inspection. Well I ran to the house and waited for 30 mins. The only person turning up was Yorkshire water who had turned up twice needing to speak to the landlord about a burst pipe under the property. Well he said he needed access to the property and this was the final time he was coming, we both went back to the agency and after abit of pushing they gave him they keys after realising how serious it was. The nice chap gave me a lift back I got my money out the draw. The agency are clearly downright liars obviously.. Stay away and try someone else. We've had a great year with castle hill.

  Parasites like all estate agents, but one of the worst. They let themselves into properties with no notice, they issue section 21 (eviction) notices to manipulate tenants to sign contracts. They care nothing for tenants rights. Avoid at all costs.

  Horrible, arrogant manager and staff. I paid the bill in full for the first 3 months rent but when they realised they had made a mistake l was threatened with rent arrears fees and eviction, if not paid immediatley. An explanation and apology would have saved a lot of grief and resolved the matter quickly, unfortunately this was below them. In conversation with the manager l mentioned the poor reviews on here, he blamed it on dealing with 'tennants' like us. Avoid at all costs.

  Without a doubt the worst landlord I have ever been with. Firstly, they decided to do renovations while we were living in the property without our consent. I literally came home from university one day to find all my belongings ripped out of the wardrobes and piled up in a mess on my bed (I've attached one of the photos of this). My playstation was at the bottom of the pile and was broken. The workers that Avtar sent damaged most of our belongings, and some of our possessions were even stolen. When we complained about this, Avtar offered no compensation. For at least 6 weeks, the house was uninhabitable. We asked for rent reductions but we were not given this. We would have taken them to court if we could afford it. They just exploit students' financial circumstances. In addition to this, once you have signed with them, they become extremely rude and patronising. You have to ask several times before anything gets done. They also make promises that they do not keep. DO NOT SIGN WITH THIS LANDLORD! STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
