Belvoir managed the rental of our property for 5 years while we were living abroad. Not only did they manage the tenants but they ensured that the property was well maintained during this period. The staff dealt with all issues on our behalf with a high level of professionalism. All communication with Belvoir was efficient and we would certainly recommend them to any landlords.

As a landlord I have used Belvoir for 5 years and have found Nick Horan and his team to be first class. I want my tenants to be happy and any problems that may arise dealt with in a timely manner. Until now all issues have been handled professionally, efficiently and always in a friendly manner.

My wife has been using the Dundee office since 2012 and have found the staff to be very helpful with even the small things (beyond their remit) that they needn't help with. If any of our tenants ever had a problem the "girls" would get it fixed without any dramas. We have had an instance where a tenant had left behind debt to British Gas which we were paying until Lucy got on the case. Well done all at Belvoir.

I'll start with the positives - Belvoir do keep a portfolio of nice and affordable properties in a range of locations. They also have a good system for reporting faults. That's about where it ends. As others have noted, Belvoir's staff team have serious attitude problems. Throughout my time with Belvoir, I've never felt more looked down on in my life. I've never felt more uncomfortable in a property. If Mr Horan would like to correct this problem and therein reduce these negative reviews, he might like to start by looking at himself. I can't say I was surprised to read his snide responses to many of the reviews left on this page, even throwing personal information into the mix. Highly unprofessional. Hence why I am anonymous, I left Belvoir some time ago now but I don't wish my personal information to be used against me. This is a fair and considered review. I can assure everyone I was not the perfect tenant myself, nor was I the worst. But I can confidently say that Belvoir are the most difficult letting agency I have ever had the displeasure to rent from. I've never experienced so many issues. There is a reason why the council do not work with Belvoir. I'm not saying don't rent from Belvoir, but I am saying that be prepared to experience these issues in your quest for a nice place to live. In my opinion, it wasn't worth it for me. But it may be to someone else.

My husband and I viewed two flats today. We were given a slot of 2-3 pm, unfortunately, we arrived 6 minutes late due to unforeseen traffic. We were extremely apologetic and understood that it was our fault. However, throughout both the viewings we were told off by the letting agent. He kept lecturing us about how buses are unreliable, and that he is getting late because of us for his next viewings and we should have used our car. I would like to point out that we finished viewings for both the flats at 2:30 pm . . . During which we had to deal with an EXTREMELY haughty attitude of the agent. He did not smile once, chatted with us normally, or even told us a single thing about any of the properties. I have never left any place feeling this undignified, almost reduced to tears before. Yes, we do not have a car and have to rely on public transport but that does not make us any less than the agent? It is tragic because my husband and I LOVED the elm street property but obviously will not apply for it because we are not doing anybody a favour by renting from them. Please advise your agents to be a little more professional in their dealings. It's the first proper interaction with your agency, and leaves quite a bad taste!
