Modern pod or capsule style.hotel, conveniently situated for the Jewellery quarter. Have stayed in several of this style and this was easily up there with Qbic London as the best of them. Comfortable bed, air conditioning, excellent shower and zero noise made for a great stay. Would.love to find a hotel that had regular sized pillows though, rather than the huge ones that seem the norm.

I stay here quite frequently and always find it a good budget option, but it feels nicer than a budget hotel. The normal rooms are very compact but we'll decorated and always clean/tidy. The apartments are much bigger and worth the upgrade if you get it early enough and it's only an extra £15-20. Nice and close to Jewellery Quarter and only a fifteen minute walk from the city centre so well placed for going out for dinner as well. There's no catering on site. I usually pop to the Hylton Cafe nearby for breakfast if anyone needs a recommendation!

Good location. Small but well laid out modern room. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Good value for money for sure. Will definitely stay again!

The BLOC hotel was an interesting experience. The location is great (in the Jewelry Quarter, across from the Eight Foot Grocer). Our room had no window an a toilet area with a glass door, all of which were fun. Our main complaint was when we turned the fan on to cool the room, our entire room soon smelled like cigarette smoke. In addition to that, the bed was relatively uncomfortable. You could feel the springs from the top. Overall though, was worth a Sunday nights discount stay.

Good location in the jewellery quarter which is very handy for shopping trips. A number of very good restaurants, bars and cafes are right on your doorstep and only a little further is the main shopping centre. The rooms themselves are simple but very well designed. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is fantastic. It is a good value stay.
