  Great value through the week, I love using these old stately home style hotels on business trips. They are all set up for weekend events. The people here were particularly friendly and the service was excellent. Don't go expecting 5star luxury, it is what it is, an old well used building, but clean enough with good breakfast and those friendly staff.

  The spa is lovely and has great facilities. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our dulux double room was beautiful and modern, I'd definitely go again.

  OK, not as swish as a 5*,but value for money wise, I had a very nice cruise package. Dinner, bed, breakfast, holiday parking and transfer to the ship at a very affordable price. (At considerably less than other similar cruise deals I have tried.)Friendly staff, pleasant enough food and a very comfy extra large bed. I would happily go back and put money saved towards an extra holiday treat. Value for money?..... ****************

  The hotel was very conveniently located for our plans of visiting family. It's a lovely building and our room was large (big enough for four large suitcases with room to spare) and comfortable. Breakfast was a generous buffet, with both continental and English options. A really pleasant stay.

  I checked in late at night with the Night Porter who was very nice and helpful. Offered help with bags etc. Nice and comfortable room, great proportion, bath, very comfortable bed. The reason for dropping a star is that breakfast, although very tasty, was not what I would expect from a five star hotel. No tablecloths, no staff to seat me when I arrived for breakfast, no table clear to seat me at. Once seated staff were helpful. I would definitely stay here again, the grounds and spa looked fantastic and merit coming back to actually have time to try them!
