Absolutely terrible experience. I went in to buy a couple of things The older man I asked for help in looking at cabinet handles was little to No help. The younger gentleman stopped checked the handle and screws I had and gave me good proper advice. I proceeded to walk to the till, bearing in mind i’am disabled and walk with a bad limp. I went to the till and purchased my items around £20 not a lot of money to B&Q I walked up to the till, i was going to say the gentleman at the till but he wasn’t. He charged me for my things. I was no more than a few feet away and heard him saying to the another female colleague did you see that guy. I really wanted to turn round and tell him, that I walk with a limp & that I’m not drunk or off my head. I was so frustrated with him I left the handle I had took from my house and left it in the shop. I was not going to ask any of the staff at B&Q as I already felt humiliated. I refuse to walk with a walking stick for anyone It makes it worse and harder for me to walk with. I hope the two staff members were happy with their comment. I Will Never Be Back In the shop again !! I have the receipt with the managers name on it I won’t put it up as I’m not sure if it was the manager ( joke ) that was on the cash register Thank you to whom ever it was in B&Q for a bad end to a nice day. I’d advise you to try & train your staff to not just help the people who they think are more important and help and be courteous to everyone who enters your store, maybe then you wouldn’t have your customers feeling let down and upset. B&Q Hermiston gate Saturday 19:37. You should maybe retrain your staff to be courteous a thing a few of the people in B& bad manners need Desperately. 🙈🙉🙊

Absolutely shocking customer service call. Was not finished speaking to the advisor on the phone with a Liverpool accent, who promptly ended the call with. "Thank you, bye. " phone down. I was still taking to you! Rudeness

Like a lot of people I visit B&Q regularly. Today I was looking for lighting and appropriate light bulbs. This time I saw what I liked so successful trip.

This is a big store, so I guess it must be good for something! I wanted some self adhesive mini cable trunking and had bought the same stuff before so I knew what I wanted. There was plenty of the trunking available in a wide range of sizes so I thought, so far so good! However the accessories were another issue! They did not have the full range of joints available to match the sizes of trunking on display but what was worse was that the shelves of the accessory fittings were a disgrace as, on closer examination, it became clear that the labelling on the boxes didn't represent what was inside them but even after a search of each box and the scattering of unboxed pieces lying around on the shelves I was unable to find what I needed. As it happened I had to go back three times to the shop during the same week and each time I went to look for the jointing fittings I needed the shelves were still in the same untidy, disorganised, mess they had been on my first visit! I then tried ordering them on-line via the B&Q website using click&collect! Negotiating the web site is worse than trying to find stuff in the store itself and at least there you can ask someone! So that attempt failed too as I didn't want to buy what I wasn't sure was the correct item. I tried going into the store and asking a staff member to find the items on their on-line catalogue but they were confronted with the same problems as I had encountered. Eventually we did pin down what I was looking for only to be told that there were none in stock as it was only what was on the shelves that was in stock! If I had known that I wouldn't have bothered asking as by that time I probably knew more about the stock levels of trunking accessories than the staff did! One star, only for the patience the staff showed in trying to help me in my search. Otherwise a complete zero for stock control management, the management overview of the store's appearance, and the usability of their on-line catalogue. I don't think I'll be back for quite a while!
