  I wish I had found this before contacting this company. They were supposed to move us two weeks ago - complete disaster. They ran out of packing boxes, didn't bring any wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes, and had to be supervised whilst packing breakages. Paid 50% up front - £492.50, another £200 cash the day before the move - on the day of the move, they just didn't turn up. Merely sent an e-mail saying that their transport had broken down and that they couldn't move us that day. We then had to find another removal company that had availability, costing us another £1,500. I have been trying to contact Budget Plus Removals for the last two weeks to get our money back, but to no avail. No response to my e-mails and all the contact numbers I can find are discontinued. Suffice to say, we are very angry that we have been treated this way. If anyone knows of this company and how to get in touch with them, please let me know here. Sam - I would be very happy to take collective action against this company in any way I could.I currently have friends in Peterborough trying to see if they can track them down. I'll update if I get any news. STAY WELL AWAY FROM BUDGET PLUS REMOVALS - They are cheating, thieving rip off merchants.

  Absolutely awful company. Bad mannered employees. Paid £205 deposit, their vehicle didn't even show up,( mechanical breakdown on previous job apparently) they seem to use this excuse quite regularly. They did not contact me to say there was a problem. I had to ring them to find out what was going on. I was told that they didn't know as the man in charge was in a meeting. They refuse to refund my money although they did nothing for me, except cause more stress. I would strongly advise people to stay away from this company.

  My Family has had the most criminal situation with these cowboys!, firstly they send a small transit sized van, with none English speaking workers ramming our furniture into the van. Then at 3.30 in the afternoon phone and say they've broken down, this by this point we were extremely unhappy, they never offered any kind of reduction from the fee, despite saying they wouldn't arrive until 9pm at night!, this is where it became sinister, they then threatened to take our whole worldly possessions and 'steal' them, and take them to an unknown location, at this point the Police were informed, no contract was signed, and their dodgy back street antics were beginning to make our family scared, they threatened my partner, with their driver telling her to f**k off!, they said unless we emailed them saying we wouldn't take any action, then we would not see our possessions again. Our son was in tears, and we faced the prospect of our house being unpacked at midnight, when I started a new job the following morning! I will make sure the newspapers, trading standards, and every review site, together with watchdog will be informed, as this is a review, and completely factual, I am entitled to advise through our experiences. 'DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET THE EXPERIENCE, PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR SAFETY, THEY BLACKMAIL AND TRY TO EXTORTION YOU, THEY ARE NOT A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY' THE POLICE ARE INVOLVED AS ARE MY SOLICITORS!

  I would definitely recommend Budget Plus Removals to anyone,staff were very helpful from the start to finish. Very good company to use. 10/10

  I would have to say that we had an experience that I would not like to recommend! Although our issue was not with the removal team as they were as helpful as they could possibly be in the circumstances on the day. The move itself was not an easy one to start with as we were moving 220 miles away. The issue was that the wrong size van (just over a 3.5 tonne) was sent to the property and only fit just over half of the contents of the house. The price quoted was £795, of which £400 was paid initially with the rest on arrival at the new property. However, even though this was a mistake on the company's part they told us that we would have to pay another £500 for another van to collect the rest of the items. We did not have this money so were unable to pay. This meant that we had to sort out a way of collecting it ourselves. The person I spoke to at the company was less than helpful and quite rude. I would not recommend Budget Plus Removals to anyone unless they had money at their disposal. As a continuation of this I am still currently trying to get in touch with someone at the company but have been waiting for 3 hours, having made 2 calls, for somone to ring me back. Budget Plus's website states, 'Our experienced team aim to make your removal as SMOOTH, and EFFICIENT as possible...' But this is not what we experienced!
