Another excellent place to visit in Edinburgh. You must try their soup when you visit their lounge. It's scrumptious !

This is my favourite place to watch movies. The theatres are not large and the seats are comfy and recline, so it always feels very intimate and cozy. It’s like watching a movie in your own home while treating yourself to a night out. There is a bar in the venue, so stop for a drink or a bite to eat before the show. The concession stand is full of all sorts of treats, sweet and/or salty popcorn, and ice cream. Many of the snacks (including the frozen treats) are vegan, so whatever dietary restriction you have, you are covered. The staff is always friendly and engaging. Cameo also hosts many events (eg Eurovision parties, screenings of The Room, etc.) and showings of new and older movies. Their rewards programme is also great if you’re a cinephile. Don’t waste your time and money anywhere else.

Lovely little cinema full of character and charm just like a trip to your (probably now closed) local independent cinema. Was recommended a visit online whilst looking for things to do on holiday in Edinburgh. Screen and sound have had a modernisation so don’t expect a crappy presentation (this is part of a larger company) retro and classic films show also. Just £7.50 on a Monday night compared to £11+ the rest of the time. Screen 1 has really comfy reclining seats throughout the screen as standard. Only downfall was a damp smell which considering how hot the place was seemed strange but after half an hour you didn’t really notice it.

Nice little Art House cinema that I've been going to for years. Would recommend it. The bar is nice as well.

Easily my favourite cinema in Edinburgh. Fairly central and has a great selection films, ranging from current blockbusters to vintage and cult favourites. Staff are friendly and helpful and everything is reasonably priced as far as cinemas are concerned. The seats also recline which is never a bad thing. I don't think I would choose any other cinema before the cameo and I suggest that you do the same!
