  Very poor after sales service! (I wanted to leave no stars but the google system wouldn't let me!) I complained that a long line of thread had come from the carpet in the doorway of my lounge, the carpet had only been down 13 months! In store they said that my 8 year old Dyson was too strong for the carpet even though it's never pulled any threads from any other carpets in the house!! I didn't know what to expect when I took the thread, with the bill, back to the store, but to be "fobbed off" like that is disgraceful. I am now re-carpeting 3 bedrooms and my hall and stairs and will not be stepping foot anywhere near carpetright!!

  I have no complaints about the service within the Carlisle store. We dealt with an extremely helpful man called Sean. The carpet and wood flooring has been fitted and looks lovely. The complaint I have is about the damage caused to our newly painted hall, staircase and landing area while laying the carpet and flooring. The walls were marked in numerous places. A black fingerprint left on hall wall and marks higher than my shoulder level obviously caused when lifting the carpet upstairs. Carpetright contract the carpet fitting to an independent company. We complained to the store who contacted them on our behalf. The man who fitted our carpet and flooring visited and categorically denied they had caused the damage. Funny that because when I left the house that Friday morning they were not there but on Friday night and Saturday morning in daylight the numerous marks and damage was evident.I was told by the fitter my cats could have caused the damage. Last time I looked I did not have tigers with huge paws living with me. We were told the manager would ring us after his holiday and arrange to come out himself. He rang as promised and asked us to get a quote off our decorator which we did and he gave us two options of days he could visit. We gave him a time for the following day when we would both be home. He didn't turn up and did not take my husbands call when he rang the store. My husband rang head office waste of space the lot of them. We were told to get two quotes for decorating and to take photos after previously being advised this wasn't acceptable. Photos do not show the extent of the damage. After much battling with their head office we have decided to get our own decorator back to make good the damage and not pursue due to the stress they have caused us. There customer service is very poor to say the least. MORALE OF THIS REVIEW IS PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU PURCHASE CARPETS FROM CARPETRIGHT GET A REPUTABLE CARPETFITTER TO FIT THEM FOR YOU WHO WON'T DAMAGE YOUR WALLS OR BETTER STILL USE ANOTHER STORE.

  after a year of dealing with less than acceptable customer service in the Carlisle area I was very reluctant and did put off ordering a new carpet as I simply expected some small minded arse who would be overpersonal and ignore his job. well, id say carpet right I was pleasantly surprised for the fist time this year, the staff were friendly and professional, I felt comfortable there. the carpet fitter turned up at my house early, he was polite friendly and very professional, and when I booked and paid for my carpet I found that it was less than I was originally quoted, the only reason I'm giving this 4 stars and not 5stars is that my carpet has not been fitted yet. but overall my experience of this company so far has been very good and I would definitely recommend. After the year ive had with Carlisle businesses, particularly mechanics and garages id been put off using anything in the city and was tempted to go to Dumfries or Hawick for service, this company had made me realise that they are not all bad out there afterall. I would definitely recommend and definitely use them again.
