On August 27th 2017, I was looking for a place or letterbox to throw my five stamped postcards in. I was a tourist, completely new in Edinburgh and found it hard to find letterboxes anywhere. So I ended up in this "Central News" shop, saw that postcards were sold there and had the spontaneous idea that maybe there someone could help me. I walked in and one man (dark-haired but I don't know his name) stood behind the counter. I kindly asked him if he could tell me where the next letterbox is or if his shop can take postcards and send them away for me (I've experienced that some shops, who sell postcards and stamps, also take them for sending). All he did was silently nodding with a rather grim face, taking my postcards, walking out side and putting them on the dashboard of his car. I thanked him and asked again if he really could do that favor for me. Again, he nodded but didn't look happy. That should have been a warning sign for me, because so far - exactly 4 weeks later - none of the postcards have arrived their recipients. Have they been forgotten? Or even thrown into the trash? Because I more and more believe rather that this happened than that postcards take this long to arrive (4 were meant to go to Germany, 1 to Switzerland). I'd like to contact the shop and/or the exact vendor but there's no option visible. I now regret that I walked in there and asked for help. Admitted, it was a stupid idea to begin with, I should have looked longer for a letterbox. But the point also is: If you do NOT want to do what somebody is asking you to do, just say NO (or at least give him/her a bit of advice)! Because acting like you accept and then nothing happens makes you (and your shop) look bad! If the postcards will arrive in the next time I'd consider deleting this review. I'm that fair.

Purchased a Diet Coke from this shop but ended up meeting rudest man in Edinburgh. Accused me of throwing my money at him and treating him like a beggar. None of which happened so a very strange experience. Paid fir the drink and didn't bother taking it in the end as I was that cross.
