  I would give it a minus rating if there was an option. Following are my reasons: 1) I booked it for 6 nights and it was pay later scheme; they charged me 2 times for the sae room and then refunded one of the payments but still it was pay later no apologies or anything 2) Please don't forget to bring in your own towels as there is No towel replacement for 5 days, 3) Nobody will come to take the rubbish from the bins or to clean your room. 4) Their contact numbers mentioned on their website nobody answers them. I booked through Expedia they couldn't get through them when I complained why I was charged 2 times upfront when it was a paylater scheme. 5) Internet or wifi doesn't work in the place. 6) Kettle is filthy from inside. I did texted the manager or owner of my issues of internet and towels but he was too busy to respond back. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone!!!!!

  Having hardly stayed away, I initially looked around at the obvious hotel names, such as Hilton and Ibis. However, my partner convinced me to have a look around at something which was cost effective, as ideally we just needed a place to settle and sleep for the night(s). We stumbled upon Clifton House, and I was extremely glad we did! Initially I was surprised by what I saw on Google Maps, as the exterior of the hotel just looks a little like an ordinary place. However, once you enter the house it is totally different. There are 3 floors in this house overall, with the double room (with en suite bathroom) on the top floor. The room itself was extremely spacious, and was all that you could ask for: great side double bed, open wardrobe with shelves and hangers, a desk with a lamp, complimentary tea and coffee ingredients, coffee table and chairs, a TV with freeview, and bedside tables with lamps. There were also plenty of plug sockets, so you always have somewhere to charge your phone or other mobile devices. The bathroom was through a door and really took my by surprise. The whole room was very spacious and was effectively a walk-in shower, with the toilet and sink at the far end of the room. There was also complimentary shampoo/shower gel, so everything you need is provided! The hotel staff are very friendly and thankfully allowed us to check in later than the regular times, as our train arrived late. Overall, I was extremely happy with our stay. Brilliant stuff!

  Ok ish
