  I ordered cupcakes from Cuckoo's online to be delivered to my friend for her birthday who is studying in Edinburgh and had an awesome experience! Along with the cupcakes being delivered without any complications and looked absolutely beautiful, I had forgotten to include a card with my original order so I emailed the shop asking if there was any way to go back and add this in and got a quick reply back saying that they would be happy to add a card to my order and even waived the 1 pound fee that they usually charge for it for me since my order had already been placed! Super friendly and helpful customer service as well as killer cupcakes delivered right on time, I'll definitely be placing more orders with them in the future!! :)

  If you are walking from old town down to the botanical gardens......DO NOT miss this wonderful little cafe. Great for take out cupcakes as well.

  Oh dear!! Pretentious Edinburgh at its worst!! I've just paid over £7... YES, £7!!!!, for 2 " cupcakes" ( another Americanism we can live without!) Clearly made with oil, so very greasy and with 2 inches of inedible, very sweet icing! How awful! No doubt, your average Edinburgh university student and the middle class of Edinburgh will lap it up! Get over yourselves Cuckoo bakery and learn to bake proper stuff!!! 30th October. Please don't bother looking for new recipes on my account, I won't be back. ( Couldn't afford it for a start!)

  **Update** After placing this review, the owner took the time to call me and resolved the situation. Thank you for doing that. I am therefore increasing the rating that I gave. I'll post a final review once I've tested the cakes! ** Placed and paid for a fairly large order in the shop for cake and cupcakes for a birthday 2 weeks hence only to receive an email later telling me that they wouldn't fulfill the order as one of the cupcakes was a weekly special and they'd only fill that part of the order if I ordered a minimum of 12 of that variety of cupcake. Cancelled entire order. If you want personal, flexible, understanding service, probably better going elsewhere.

  Cupcakes are just simply amazing. Staff is attentive to each detail. Thanks for a friendly service. Will recommend to a friend. Will come back. :)
