Bought a bike for £150 and its now usable after about a year and a half of commuting. Friend bought a bike earlier this year and its going the same way. Don't waste your money here.

Bought two bikes from them already, both around £200. They provide one free service, and the bikes feel good as new after that. The bottom bracket on one came loose after 9 months and they replaced it, not questions asked. Although they did forget to align the front gears, I was happy about the brand new bracket. They were also very helpful and knowledgeable. The fact of the matter is, if you buy a cheap bike, it won't last long. Most of the bad reviews seem to be people who either bought cheap bikes, or didn't bring it for the first free service.

I have bought two bikes from them and the customer service was good. They answered my questions and they gave me time to choose the right bike for me. I have also taken my bike for service there which was ok but expensive.

This isn't a rant or an angry post but a genuine warning for all potential (especially students) customers of Cycle King. Cycle King sells low quality bikes under the veneer of cheap and affordable prices. I paid for a £150 bike and till date (no more than 4 months after purchase) have paid more than £100 in repairs due to shoddy brakes and low quality bike gears on Cycle King bikes. Do not, i repeat, do not buy anything from Cycle King because they appear to be cheap. The quality is absolutely dismal and this is especially pressing for students who in general cannot afford to continuously go for repairs. Do not support this enterprise. To put it crudely, they are running a false economy. Look for better deals online or just head to any other bicycle store in Oxford. Do not waste your money on this. Especially if you're a student who is looking to save money.

Went to Cycle King today - Tony was incredibly helpful. Great advice without being pushy. And very understanding of our crazy toddler who tried to interrupt buying a bike for our eldest. Super service, lovely bike.
