Great Service and great value of money. Took my beach cruiser for a general check up as it was harder to pedal than it used to be and they have returned it smooth and perfectly working. They also showed me the parts they had replaced and explained why

Brilliant service, not only did they help me with choosing the best bike and outfitting it, they also helped deal with the finance aspect which took several hours of their time to sort out. They patiently help me and provided assistance during the entire stay over 2 days. I cant list personal names on this public review but rest assured ill write to their head office about their great service.

I have been using the Cycle Republic in Nottingham a year now, spent £6000 in there this year according to my books. But they just lack some service aspects I want, for example when it comes to someone who is enthusiastic about bikes and just wants the best, they aren't interested. I recently bought a Boardman Pro FS for £1350 upfront in cash. I told them I don't care about warranty as my intentions for using it was on the bike parks and trails. Jumping 20 foot gaps is not in their warranty policy, didn't care anyway. So after i cased a jump, the rear wheel was wobbly. The hub fitted has no brand on it at all. So I went and bought a custom built wheel and taken it to Cycle Republic for fitting. They fitted it but encountered a problem, the smallest ring on the cassette was too close to the frame and therefore the chain could not fit in it. So their solution was just to give me the bike back and say its your fault for buying the wrong wheel. Fact is, I didn't. So I taken it to another bike shop and they said the XD driver wasn't fitted to the hub correctly and there was movement. A couple of hours later they fixed it and charged me something for it. But why didn't Cycle Republic just inform me of the problem, fix it, then charge me for it. I think it is because they try and avoid doing tedious tasks they don't like at work despite being paid the same hourly rate for it and two, none of them are qualified. The knowledge they are taught is passed on from staff to staff and they get a Halfords certificate for it and actually didn't know how to fix it. They forget there are some people out there that aren't suffering from recession and still think money is no object to be held onto. Therefore just do what needs to be done to bike and charge me whats necessary to get the best. CR could of told me the £200 wheel I bought was trash and that they had to order me another £200 one and charged me £20 labor again and I would of paid it with no further questions. But they don't work like that, they try and save the customer money and that is the problem I have. I want the components the pros have and I want them to be fitted to a qualified standard every time. Honestly all bike shops do this, I fail to find one thats enthusiastic about selling the best to a customer. I just want what the pros have and I want cycle republic to offer it me. My next upgrade is a frame. Now I have spent £1350 on a bike. I am looking to spend £1000 on just a frame next and transfer the components. I used to be really into computers, but now I have an iMac, Macbook pro and a 1080 ti gaming rig I have started spending on bikes instead.

Came in because I'd wrecked my back tyre and so had a puncture. I was served quickly, treated well by friendly and helpful staff. Walking around the store they have basically everything I could imagine anyone might need and I didn't have to wait long for the work to be done. Will easily be coming back for all other problems that will inevitably arise.
