  Helpful at the time, but sold me the wrong size and never mentioned any return policy. Nothing printed on receipt. Will not accept exchange or return without box. Then called me a liar about not knowing that. They make up rules as they go and apparently can’t figure out if a shoe fits or not.

  Great service, called up to organise a new bike and it was in the shop two days later, built and ready for collection.

  As with any bike shop a lot depends on who you get on the day. I've had notably expert and friendly service here before but on my last visit experienced a really patronising piece of 'man-splaining', ie being talked down to by a man who thinks they know more than you (as a woman), even if he doesn't. This is dispiritingly common in bike shops but this was the worst yet. Among other things I was dismissed as 'Miss', 'Mrs' and 'My dear' while trying to point out to the attendant that he was reading off the wrong side of the calipers and that my handlebar diameter was definitely more than 1.25cm. When I finally managed to get my message across I got resentment rather than apology. It could have just been a lack of knowledge – maybe he worked mainly in the running section – but it seemed to me to be wrapped in gender-based superiority. It upset me and I won't be back.

  Best Cycle Surgery in London. Passionate staff and despite my unpleasant experience with another Cycle Surgery (Upper Thames St) not setting up my Brompton properly, the guys at this branch fixed everything as it should be. Highly recommended over other branches, especially those that claim to be Brompton experts but don't set them up properly.

  One of the best cycle shops I have had the pleasure of walking into. The team know their bikes, are helpful and the management would rather sell you the right bike rather than selling you an expensive bike that doesnt fit you. Great team and always a pleasure to ask for their advice or buy a new piece of kit.
