  I attended this 'Gym for a day and that is exactly what it is with a sauna and hydropool area, apart from that it's a typical gym with the typical bad service and highly uncleanly changing rooms and the hydropool area is highly uncleanly and inside the waters you walk on rubble at the bottom of the water dont know where it's come...

  As a member of this club i am getting more and more dissatisfied with the service. General hygiene is terrible the bar area is always dirty and never cleaned. The gym equipment is constantly broken with huge time periods for it to get fixed. The spa is never warm enough and the saunas never seems to both work aswell as the discusting hydropool! Dont dare look in the water there when the bubble stop its enough to make you gag. The showers are never warm let alone hot. The worst place about this gym is the management couldn’t seem to care less and for the extortionate prices they charge it’s less and less appealing to stay a member. On top of all of this the whole place is like an open plan creche than an luxury health club! Very poor

  Very dissapointed. Came here for the wife's birthday having booked a spa treatment for her only to find a notice at reception to say the hydro pool was closed for maintenance. Having paid for the treatment, an email to say this was due to happen so we could plan around it would have been nice. Never mind, get to the gym and find the place grubby with road salt all over the stairs. Wherever I go I hear "crunch, crunch crunch". Needless to say walking round barefoot in the changing room is unpleasant, but not as unpleasant as wading through all the rubbish which has been left on the floor. Tissues, discarded plastic bottles, towels, you name it, I have to avoid it. Never mind, let's get some lunch. As it's a rare child free day, we head for the adult lounge for some peace and quiet. No such luck, there are three people in here right now, as I write this, who appear to be running their businesses from this place. One guy who appears to be running a protein drink startup, another who seems to be running a server racking business. I know this cos they are all CONSTANTLY ON THE PHONE! the guy to my left has been facetiming for about an hour, barefoot, for about an hour and I have the irresistible urge to scream SHUT THE HELL UP! I thought it was an adult lounge not a business lounge? I've given it two stars because the food was nice and the ladies running the shake tasting stand were nice, but the rest of the visit has been thoroughly disappointing and I don't intend to return.

  One of the best David Lloyd clubs, mostly because it has a Celsius spa that is open to all adult members. Spa has 4 hydropool style jacuzzis arranged together in a pool, with a 3 large water jets that shoot out from the middle. Stand under the water jet stream and the massage is wonderful. They have two saunas, a steam room, an ice water dunking well and a relaxing pool. The gym floor has all the equipment you could need, similar to other clubs like Milton Keynes and Bushey. It is a full rackets club so there are tennis and badminton courts. Restaurant and bar area is big, lots of seating, adult lounge and computers. Highly recommend this David Lloyd club.

  Went to play golf. Not bad course, been playing there for years and it has improved a bit since it got taken over from the council. No club house, but the course is good, well kept and challenging. The staff at David Lloyd was a bit stroppy and up themselves otherwise I would have put four stars.
