  Standard department store. Not the easiest to navigate as there are a high number of perfume stands all over. Good selection if your after that though.

  Debenhams or rather Browns of Chester as fondly known to the older generation of Chesterians is one of those shops that has stood the test of times in the last 30 years. Whilst others shops faded away it has remained popular with the citizens of Chester and visitors alike. Hoping the future continues to make her a part of Chester tradition

  Very helpful staff. Great selection of high quality clothes at cheap prices. I cant say i bad word about this department store. 10/10

  Big store with lots of rooms, stairs and escalators. Good mix of old and new architecture. Some bargains at the moment. Café in the basement (the tea press) is nice, historic, with good coffee and cake. Good prices in the restaurant on the top floor but I have not eaten there.

  I give this a four star only because the restaurant just seems to be in the highest point of this shop. I ask why for gawds sake. The food is excellent like at other branches in the Debenhams empire. The Chester site is marketed as Brown's of Chester Debenhams for a bit of individuality.
