::I bought a new Subaru XV in December 2017. Nothing was too much trouble for the sales manager Justin Taylor, who went the extra mile to find the model I wanted: literally, as he had it transported from the other end of the country! He was very professional and kept me informed throughout the process. All at a good price. And the car is excellent, comfortable and capable, on and off road, and recently rated as the safest in its class. What more could anyone want?

::I am very disappointed in the service and lack of support I received recently. I broke down on the roundabout and called out RAC, they helped me to transport my vehicle to Drayton Motors and their tests suggested that my alternator needed replacing and that my battery was fine. When calling up Drayton Motors the following day I clearly and specifically asked them to focus on my alternator (alongside a basic service). The next day I called them for an update and I was informed that my car was ready for pick up and the mechanic had changed my battery. I was confused that they didn't mention the alternator and asked what their opinion was regarding the alternator. They were very brief but said that the mechanic had tested it. Being a person with little knowledge of car mechanics and trusting their expert opinion I was half happy with paying my £256 bill (including basic service). Two days later I drove home to Wales and it had broken down again! I was absolutely fuming and in despair due to a few other mis-fortunes I had been going through that week (including the fact I spent money on a battery that probably didn't need replacing in the first place!). I tried calling up Drayton Motors to discuss the situation with the manager and try to arrange some sort of good will gesture. I had to finally get my partner to call them as I felt that they did not take me serious enough. My partner asked if they could at least send me the results from the tests they made but they were very resistant and were unwilling to help out in any way. I ended up booking my car into a nearby garage and called out RAC again to help me transport my car as it did not survive the 2 jump starts that morning. RAC showed me and my partner the results and explained what the results meant and it clearly stated that my alternator was on its way out. When the job was finally done by a more trusted garage, the mechanic commented when I payed my £205 bill "no wonder they didn't want to do it, an alternator is a pain to change"... I wish I went with my gut instinct and asked to see the test results before paying my bill at Drayton Motors. I've spent money I don't have and this has put me through unnecessary stress. Drayton Motors, you have lost the trust of this customer and I will not be coming back to you again.
