  Bought a ring at the start of January, had returned it for repair by the end of the month because a diamond had fallen out. 3weeks later it was returned to me, and within a week the same diamond they replaced had fallen out again. Went back to request a refund, was greeted by an exceptionally rude man who blamed the fault on me and refused to provide a refund, instead offering an alternative of the same style ring in a different metal that would cost me at least 100pound more. No sense of customer service whatsoever, would not even recommend this shop to an enemy. If I could give zero stars I would.

  Took my watch in to have battery replaced and was advised it would take some time as the watch back was secured by 4 screws. On returning i was handed the watch in a small transparent plastic bag through which i could see it was working. Once home i took the watch out of bag to put it into the box i bought it in, at this point the ceramic bracelet came apart and on inspection the pin was missing. I phoned Hinds immediately and explained what had happened and that the ceramic link was damaged.Returned the following day to be told that the strap had definitely not been taken apart and that the damage was due to somehow it being caught tearing the pin out of the link thus damaging it which i proved under a shirt cuff could not happen. One member of staff i found totally arrogant and an out and out liar. If you want a lying imbecile to insult your intelligence then Hinds Cambridge is the place to go. The watch will repaired at Hinds in Yarmouth where it was purchased and has had three batteries replaced trouble free by them.

  Paid over £12 for them to change a watch battery for a gents watch that had worked perfectly for years. They said they were offering a lifetime of watch battery replacements for this price so I agreed. After 20 minutes the watch came back with the straps reversed and with the second hand intermittently not working. They said the watch probably needed a service and a clean. I was not convinced. Took the watch away for a service elsewhere (it had some minor dirt in the mechnaism) and it worked fine while the battery lasted which was just 9 months. Took the watch in to this shop and again to change the battery and it came out not working at all. Getting the watch serviced elsewhere and will avoid this store in future. Would give not stars if I could.

  Don't buy anything from this store. They have put a cheap piece of metal in my ring causing it to bend and the diamond fall out. Spent over £1200 and they would not replace the diamond. I have had the ring looked at and advised that there are holes in the metal and it is not the correct piece that should of been added to the ring. Disgusting cowboys! Stay away. Their customer service is shocking and the nasty woman who works in their customer service office is vile!!! Karma!!!

  I don't know the last time I was treated with respect in a town centre shop like I was at F Hinds. I'm ashamed to say I went across the way to H Samuel first where the 3 teenage girls ignored me and carried on chatting to each other - because it's self service in there now. Thankfully I walked out and went to F Hinds where I was greeted by a polite and helpful receptionist and was treated with respect and given a very good price for jewellery repairs. I wouldn't go anywhere else from now on.
