  Even though GFT could be considered rough around the edges, it’s the finest cinema Glasgow has to offer- both from a film selection side and customer service side. The whole cinema has a human feel- film projection is done by talented projectionists, ushering and bar staff are friendly and welcoming and programme is curated for its audiences. GFT is an independently run cinema, which supports not only a rarely seen films, analogue film projection and world cinema, but also offers in its programme films that otherwise might not get cinema exhibition (like programmes of short films and experimental film). I would highly recommend visiting this lovely cinema to support its activity and to see a great selection of films.

  Wonderful film theater, seriously come to this place and support the alternative film world! For all mainstream gobshite there is Netflix for quality film we have the Glasgow Film Theatre. Keep up the good work! The most cinematic work that ever has been created in the history of films was shown here in 2017, for those interested it was called "Mercy's Folly" and it caused such reverberations across the entire film industry that this was its only showing!

  Cinema as it should be for a film buff. A Glasgow institution in the best sense and a wonderful cinematic experience. You must go during the Glasgow Film Festival every February and keep an eye out for regular classics and new cinema

  Still one of my all-time favourite venues 🤩 I love the retro vibe of the cinema, and the endless circa of special screenings available; whether that's for old horror films, anime film festivals, or standard box office releases. There's something for everyone!

  This is a fantastic theatre! The chairs are very comfortable leather with drinks holders to the side. The screens, although quite small, are high quality and the sound is superb. The toilet facilities are also well maintained. This cinema isn't one that draws in the blockbuster crowd, it's aimed more at specialist cinema and thankfully because of that the audience is much more well behaved, no mobile phones going off, people talking or loud popcorn eaters! If you want a quality cinema experience, free from the screaming mobile phone kids I'd definitely recommend this venue.
