  Refreshing to see shops like this still surviving on the High Street. Micklegate is one of the best streets in York but is more well known for the pubs and restaurants. If you're that side of the town centre (Blossom Street, The Mount etc), this shop is a god-send. Lots of DIY and decorating stuff in stock and always seem to have what's needed in an emergency.

  FANTASTIC little shop on Micklegate. So conveniently situated for those living around the area and those of us who work in this area. The shop is an Aladdin's cave of all sorts of things you would need.. DIY bits, washing lines, gardening equipment, a few doggy bits and bobs - I even saw a travel size hairdryer near the till. Prices are really very reasonable for the things in there too. I couldn't find a particular item (a watering can rose - just the rose on its own) so asked the chap and low and behold, he found one "in the back" and was cheaper than I expected! A truly valued gem of a shop on Micklegate in York!!
