  Great hotel right under the Edinbourgh castle. Good price for being in the old town. Very friendly staff. I stayed in a small room which was a small but adequate for one person. Big and comfy bed. Wonderful rain shower. There's best feature is breakfast which is cooked and served by the Irish pub next door. Full cook-to-order menu plus continental breakfast buffet. It was included in my hotel deal. They have bigger double rooms and quad family rooms too.

  Great place to stay in Edinburgh! Stylish rooms, helpful staff and great breakfast (optional) in the irish pub next door. Location is in the heart of old town, close to the castle, so be prepared to climb the streets up and down. Rose Street is pretty close, just a couple of minutes on foot; but if you don't feel like walking, there are good pubs on the same street the hotel is on. We had a great time!

  Sehr gut gelegen,große Zimmer sauber und ruhig,nur den Preis finde ich etwas zu hoch.

  Stayed here last weekend for the Scotland v England rugby. We stayed for 2 nights. I was with 3 mates (all men) so we were happy with the 4 person room. It was perfect for what we wanted. Clean, nice single beds, large bathroom etc. Hotel very near Castle and only 15min walk to Princes St where the trams run to the airport. Nearly everything you need is in walking distance. Pub is attached to hotel which was perfect for us but might put a few off. Also the Grassmarket area is very lively at night. Overall excellent. Will be back.

  Das Hotel ist modern eingerichtet und die Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Check-in war problemlos, obwohl wir früher ankamen. Frühstück gibt es im Pub nebenan, aber auf dem Grassmarket kann man auch z.B. französisch frühstücken. Es macht also nichts aus, daß diese Leistung vom Hotel nicht angeboten wird. Abends wird es auf dem Platz recht laut wegen der vielen Pubs. Die doppelten Fenster schirmen den Lärm nicht vollständig ab, wir haben aber dennoch gut geschlafen. Einfach die Fenster geschlossen lassen und die zurückhaltende Klimaanlage laufen lassen. Die hier in anderen Bewertungen störende Straßenbeleuchtung hatten wir in unserem Eckzimmer im dritten Stock genau vor dem Fenster. Es gibt einen großen Vorhang im Zimmer, der das Licht recht erfolgreich aussperrt. Mich hat es nicht gestört. Das WLAN ist schnell, aber ein VPN-Tunnel kann nicht aufgebaut werden. Das sollte dringend geändert werden!
