::Short stay in Newcastle with friends. Lovely place right in the heart of the city centre and near everything you need. Shops bars restaurants you name it. Only down side is the shower is a little on the small side. Overall very good experience

::It was ok but for the price would have expected more. All the staff were very nice and the room was comfortable enough - although you could feel the mattress springs which was unfortunate. The bathroom was nice with relaxing bath lighting and a good shower (though the tap kept a falling off in the bath and I had to screw it back on). Breakfast was really disappointing, very rigid and traditional menu and buffet options really uninspired. Wasteful use of single cereal packets; filter coffee tepid and not tasty. Poor selection of jam. Fruit out of season and therefore not at all tasty (I appreciate this is difficult in winter but apples or defrosted berries would have been good options). I would suggest including granola and yogurt as a minimum, and making cooked breakfast much more customisable.

::Generally very nice, only minor flaws were the noise (which I know is beyond their control) and cleanliness could be improved.

::Lovely hotel. Room was great-clean, modern and beautifully presented. All staff I spoke to were so friendly and helpful. I did not sleep well but this was no fault of the hotel. It is city centre... it's currently freshers week... and I like to sleep with a window open. Although I did not sleep much... the noise from students reflects how well placed the hotel is in regards to bars, restaurants and night life. I did not have breakfast included which I did not realise, and come the morning, the gent on breakfast explained everything, and was a pleasure. Unfortunately after a cup of coffee I started to feel nauseous and had to leave, so sorry if I seemed rude! So I can't comment on any of the food, but if all other areas of the hotel reflect the food and beverage offering, then I would trust that it would meet expectations. Thank You, I will bear you in mind when I am in the area again.
