::Called in at short notice for Sunday lunch and was lucky enough to get a table. The food was excellent could not fault it. Large portions and good quality. The staff were very pleasant. I thought Soft drinks were a bit over priced but you were provided with a jug of water on your table so you didn't have to buy drinks if you didn't want to. Very central position right next to the Minster. Would highly recommend.

::Very cool, has history behind it because of Guy Fawkes being born there. Just had a pint but great atmosphere. We wanted to eat here but it was fully booked, the food looked amazing!

::We have just returned from a 4 day break at the Guy Fawkes Inn. The hotel was full of character and in a fantastic position, there was an excellent choice of beers and the food was probably the best that we had whilst in York. The staff were very friendly but somewhat forgetful, forgetting to make a note to order a taxi for us for our return trip to the railway station, thankfully one of the young men phoned in the morning and fortunately there was a taxi available. The room was lovely but the cleaning wasn't great and the bed had to be remade every day, this, we felt was a let down for a 4 star hotel. We were in a room off the courtyard and it was noisy at night with folk drinking outside of the room and smoke drifted into the room from the outside guests smoking. All in all we would go back to the hotel but would insist to have a room within the main building and not off the courtyard.

::Nice decor, great food, friendly staff. Spoke to several members of staff during an impromptu visit for food and I could have sat and chatted all day. Huge portions of great food at a very reasonable cost for a city centre pub. Nice range of real ales too which the staff knew a lot about.

::Nos encantó este sitio. El personal super amable. Se esforzaban por chapurrear español. La comida muy rica y abundante. La localización muy buena si vas de visita a York y la decoración muy original, todo ambientado en la figura de Guy Fawkes.
