  I had bought a bike from halfords about an year ago (APOLLO TRANSITION) for about 130£. About one month back the bike's front tyre (inner tube) got punctured. I took it to hanford's and got it repaired for 10£. Within a week's time, the same tyre (inner tube) got punctured again. But this time I seeked the help of one of my friends, who happily helped out. But when we opened the bike to examine what was wrong, I was gravely disappointed. The inner tube inside the tyre seemed to be much bigger than the actual size of the bike rim, and this extra length was tucked inside the tyre. We opened the back tyre and found the same thing. Interestingly both the inner tubes were punctured at similar spot where the tube was folded and tucked in. I was dumbstruck as to how halford could do this into a brand new bike? So, I went into the store (Halford's store, Cowley, Templar's Square, Oxford) to inform the staff of this. Much to my surprise the staff member in there said that it was absolutely normal for this to happen and that folding the inner tube inside the tyre, if it was bigger than that for the actual rim size, it still would not cause any problem. I told him then and there that this was not the service that I expected from a renowned bike shop like Halford's. It is with much disappointment and frustration that , I am writing this feedback to inform you of the incident. I am going to put this feedback on your website review as well as the general forums so that I could bring to the attention of the general public of the carelessness of the staff members at Halfords. Not only that this is unacceptable behaviour/performance, but such carelessness in itself puts the people at risk of accidents or other dangers. I don't demand an apology from the team, but such mistakes should not be overlooked and be duly punished.

  My wife and I went in to get some wiper blades. We were unsure of the size so went to ask for help. We were served by Ben who couldn't have made it more clear that we have totally inconvenienced him with our simple question. Luckily, another team member, Jess, was available who we were able to direct our other questions to and were treated as actual human beings.

  Needed my car's headlamp replaced - the man who served me knew exactly which one I needed and fitted it straightaway. I was in and out within 10 minutes, brilliant service!

  I brought yesterday my bike as I had issues with my back braker cable... Lewis was absolutely amazing, I don´t know how he achieved to fix it in only 90 seconds. He is very kind and professional, I will definetely come back!!!

  If you're going here, go for the bike section: staff have been consistently knowledgeable and have given me good advice on repairs, including when I *don't* need to shell out for the more expensive options on offer. I have had two or three bikes go through their hands with no issues, and they have always been swift to assist. I can't comment on the general cars/etc staff as I've only interacted with the bike section.
