  Staff very uncommunicative and unhelpful. Went in to collect something that was reserved (like a click and collect service) and asked at the first desk we saw and the lady barely said anything to us but waved us in the direction of the back desk. When we arrived there we were waiting a while (which isn't an issue particularly, there were other customers there before us) but a man that worked there came to the desk and looked at us and said nothing (not even a hello or sorry for the wait), we explained that we wanted to collect something and gave the order details. He went to collect the item, and it was the wrong one. When he saw that we were paying in cash he just waved us back to the front desk. We explained that the item was not the one we were after and he just gestured to the lady at the desk. She addressed us with very little eye contact, and we explained again that the item was wrong and even got the right one off the shelf. She rang it through on the till without a word and we gave her the money and left. I have worked in retail and work in hospitality so I am sympathetic to it being hard work and potentially boring but it was honestly the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. They all seemed completely miserable, I think they should be offered training on how to treat customers/other human beings - it must affect their sales so much.

  The bikes department there are super friendly, repaired my bike quickly for a good price! Recommended

  Not a good experience. Staff moody. Paid for product and never got it on time. Had to go back for refund. Not even a sorry for inconvenience from the lady on the till

  I'll never shop here again. I've ordered parts for my bicycle 2 weeks ago and attempted collection 3 times. Every single time before attempting collection I've been parts are in store. First time they couldn't find them I waited 40min. Second after 30min waiting I was given completely different parts. Third time after waiting for another 30min I was told parts are not in store were the same person ensured me over the phone 1h before that they has been delivered.

  Never seems to be enough staff available at this store so you generally have to wait as was the case this visit. However, the security guard went out of his way to find a staff member to help, the manager was polite but busy with customers already but managed to get someone to assist with checking to see if the car seat we'd researched actually fit our car. From here or experience was great - a chap by the name of Sean went out of his way to fit the seat with difficulty as it was an awkward fit at first. Then he happily matched a much cheaper price as part of Halfords price matching policy then fit our new seat and ensured that our boy was correctly positioned before leaving us. Then offered to keep the box out the back for us incase we weren't happy with it in th next few days! The extra mile from the team but especially Sean increased their review from an original 2 to 4 stars. Not 5 stars due to lack of staff in the first place.
