  I took my VW polo to Hawco Garage after a warning light came on and the car entered Limp mode. I was quoted over £1000 for an EGR valve replacement and £800 for other parts, I wasn't convinced these repairs could be determined from a quick visual inspection so took my car to another garage. I have since had a new EGR installed for £440 (inc labour) and was told the other repairs (highly recommended by Hawco) were not necessary at the time. Two starts given as the staff were helpful and I wasn't charge for the diagnosis.
