  We were treated to afternoon tea as a group of 4 and had a bit of a mixed experience. There was dispute about the voucher we had been given as a thank you and then we had to wait about 40 minutes. When the tea eventually arrived it was of good quality and nicely presented but at no time did anyone come and ask if we were alright. If we wanted anything we had to go and ask. No top ups of tea were offered. The tea was served in the lounge which was quite pleasant and there were nice flowers on the table, but the upholstery was distinctly worn. Sadly won't rush there again.

  Wasn't staying at the hotel but staff where friendly. We came in for a bite to eat as our hotel was not serving food off a menu only buffet and wasn't a fan. The food choices where fine with some local products. The bar area was quiet but had a few weddings in the hotel in hall areas so occasionally had people walking in and out but all fine. The funny thing was obviously by a lake when someone came in through the patio doors a frog followed and took staff a little while to chase it out was rather amusing

  Stayed just for a night on business. Room was a fair size, clean and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast is buffet style with tones to choose from and all good quality. Only real criticism is the shot glasses provided for the juice

  Rooms: tired and dated decor but the beds are very comfortable. Service: excellent. Polite, friendly and happy to help. Food: hit and miss. When it was good it was delicious and some things were truly dreadful, retro prawn cocktail and mash potato you could re-plaster your house with being the two that spring to mind. Wine: awful. Setting: beautiful.

  Lovely staff - excellent facial BUT the place is dirty, shabby and cold. Water dripped off the ceiling poolside - so much chlorine in the pool I couldn't breathe, blood and hair under my poolside lounger. Ladies showers clogged with hair - I just couldn't use the showers they were so disgusting. Went for a spa day - had to pay extra (£7) for robe and slippers and £2 for any extra towel! Afternoon tea lovely and served by lovely staff. Will not be going back there again.
