Big old farm house, with charm and warmth, and farm animals, a delight

Very friendly. Constable beds. The rooms are lovely - all you could ask for. Highly recommended.

A beautiful campsite on a working farm, wonderful views, swallows nesting, a lovely estuary with cows who are for ever entertaining to watch. A great kitchen with a fridge, kettle and microwave you can use and very friendly hosts. It has everything you could ask for from a simple campsite. Totally recommended. Incidentally if you are walking Hadrian's Wall you can leave your car there for a small fee and get the train/ bus back to collect it at the end. We did that and spent the first day walking to Bowness along the trail and then back along the estuary which was lovely

We camped here. The location is very nice. Its a bit of a trek from the parking area to the campsite down a slippery slope. Main complaint was the condition of the toilet, shower and kitchen - they were filthy. They are in a block in the farmyard by the stables. All kinds of horse treatments were stored in the kitchen units and there was a scary looking syringe in the fridge. I felt mislead by the website description of 'posh camping'. Not good value for £15 for camping.
