::Another wonderful park in the centre of Nottingham. This runs into the main University campus. There is a large boating lake and a decent café. If you walk up the slope, past the grand Trent Building, you'll discover delightful gardens tucked away in various corners. Just beside the Law studies centre, you'll find this magnificent statue of D. H. Lawrence (who dismissed the Trent Building as 'iced cake').
