  Nice hotel ideally situated. Good was a bit disappointing as they gave our orders to someone else sat down for 630 food turned up gone 8 but had food there on a previous trip and was not that long and was nicer Not sure if there was a change of chef or just a one off mishap

  Rooms were clean and comfortable, if a little small. The cooling was ineffective so was very warm for a fat lad. The staff were helpful and friendly. Well located for travel to Leeds, Wakefield and the surrounding area.

  Just a Holiday Inn motel, the same as the rest of them. There's not much to recommend it really. This particular Holiday Inn was built on the site of what was once Roundwood colliery where miners worked deep underground bringing coal to the surface to keep us warm. You have wonderful views of the M1 motorway and the now grass covered slag heaps. I have heard of thefts from rooms by people unknown. So be very careful should you visit.

  Convent location as an overnight stop, unfortunately there are few local amenities or things to visit. However if you are stopping on a motorway journey the location is idea, just off the M1, putting you 20 minutes from Leeds city centre and less to Wakefield. The hotel is older than most holiday inns but is well maintained and clean. Ordered food from the bar, choices are basic but fair. Price is reasonable. I would recommend picking the tray up from the bar if ordering for your room, saving £4.50 on room charge.
