  We visited for a Groupon spa day, which we enjoyed. The facilities are a little old but everything was in working order. We didn't use the gym (which looked very small) but enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi and steam room, although the pool was very warm and jacuzzi very hot when compared with others. There was just one treatment room, which was accessed via doors from the changing rooms. You could hear the sound of hairdriers next door and there was no relaxation room but the facial itself was quite nice. The package we bought was very good value for money and the staff were pleasant. We also had lunch there which was fine but a bit on the expensive side. Overall, though, it was an enjoyable day for a good price.

  I have been using this hotel since early last year. Always entered car registration number either on the registration form or on the screen at the check in desk. There is a sign at the entrance off the main road as you drive in that it is a paying car park. Staff at reception are always very polite and have a smile. Deal with checking in and out swiftly and professionally The food I have found to be of a higher standard than some other Holiday Inn's I have stayed at. Rooms are spacious and I have always going to be clean. Excellent for a stay travelling through.

  I have only used this hotel for meetings and food so am reviewing it based on these experiences. Spacious and adequately equipped meeting rooms. Free car parking but can become hard to find a space at busy times. You must register your car details at reception or you may be charged. Bar area is small but comfortable, food is as expected at a Holiday Inn.

  Love it tucked away. Got refurbished ongoing so will be fab. Pool gym jacuzzi is lovely. Had meal in restaurant which had best steak ever. Great staff. Rested night. Breakfast in morning included. Fab

  Absolutely disgusted with this venue. I have attended several business events here, but all of a sudden a parking fine system has been introduced. I was a paying customer, but as there was no clear signage or communication of the change I completely missed it. I was very surprised when I received a fine in the post. Calling the hotel the receptionist laughed and said lots of people had telephoned to complain, but she couldn't do anything about it. Told me to appeal to the private parking firm, who promptly refused my appeal. They didn't even bother addressing the point that I had been a paying customer. Needless to say I will never, ever use this venue again for any of my business events or meetings, let alone stay over night or recommend to anyone. Many places charge for parking, and it's always made very clear. This one isn't and it is a money making scam IMO.
