  Recently I have stayed in an Executive room on the second floor, the room was very clean, the bed comfortable but the decor a little old fashioned and tired. During my stay the hotel is undergoing a remodel which is needed, this did cause some noise in the morning which woke me before my alarm and also some noise from builders in the afternoon when catching up on some work. The noise was not a bit issue. On arrival the staff have been polite and friendly and decided to order room service after a long drive. The food was quick, however not delivered in the most professional way. The food was not as good as I hoped, I ordered a crumbed chicken burger that arrived with no crumb, chips that were lovely and a rhubarb crumble that tasted of cheese so decided not to eat. Breakfast offered a full English as well as cereal, fruit and yoghurt. Of which I can't complain and the serivce was very good again. It was a good stay, but I would probably eat out in the evening next time, of which there are plenty of choices within walking distance.

  Is about a mile from city centre and sat nav seemed to take us in a big loop to get there. However once found it is a very nice hotel. Unusual for a Holiday Inn the car park was free. Had good bar area. Restaurant is OK. Food very good and well priced The room was big and had one of the biggest TVs that I have ever seen in a hotel room. Had a slight complaint that our room was not serviced after first night but I reported this to reception who immediately arranged replacement refreshments so cannot fault it

  Great hotel. Our baby had colic and Staff went above and beyond. Will definitely stay here again

  Turned up to use the paid charger for the electric car. From that perspective the facilities were great! It's a good location for a hotel too just on the edge of the city with lots of facilities nearby

  Despite kitchen refit which was reflected in the price. Our stay was perfect. Room was excellent and spotless and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Usually stay with other well known hotels due to price. Location was just perfect for what we needed.
