  Bright, clean, modern and looks like its recently been refurbished. We had a great couple of nights stay and breakfast was decent too.

  Fantastic hotel, hotel has just have a make over so all rooms are new and up to date,If u like shopping west quay shopping centre is 2 minute walk away and if ur going on a cruise ur in the closest hotel possible. We always stay here as the location is perfect for everything.

  Redecoration of the ground floor has greatly improved the hotel. If the ongoing room refurbishment is to the same standard then this place will only get better! Ideally situated just far yet near enough to town.

  Stayed here on a cold and snowy night when I was unable to get home. The staff were very friendly and helpful – I know this is their job but you get a sense when a person is genuinely welcoming or just paid to be so but here you sense a friendly vibe. Great location right by the sea and medieval city walls. The view from the room, on the eighth floor, was lovely – the entire side of the room was a massive window! It was refreshing to walk into the room and see such a pleasant view not obscured by net curtains (they are there if you want them). Best view I've seen in a hotel since staying in the Sheraton in Brussels. So many hotels have net curtains which I can understand as you may wish to have privacy but the first thing I do is to draw them open often to a view of dustbins but not in this case! Superbly comfortable bed tucked in nice and tight on one side (just how I like it) but loose on the other – I don't know whether this was massive attention to detail or just random but it was so comfy. The only slight criticism I can give is that the shower tray was rather shallow and a small amount of water drained over the edge (but then I do splash about a bit during my ablutions!). Oh and the towels were too fluffy – I couldn't squeeze them in my case! Thumbs up all round. Thoroughly recommended.

  Attended the New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball here to raise money for Dementia arranged by the lovely Stacey Page!!! All l can say is what a fantastic night!! Great venue, reasonably priced drinks, and hats off to the chef for some amazing food!! Atmosphere was fantastic, DJ played some great tunes and just a great night all round. Brilliant event for a deserving cause....well done to all the staff involved...great night had by all 😃
