Our room was fantastic, spacious huge high ceilings and in a beautiful old building near the centre of Exeter. The breakfast was nice, and dinner was good too. My only complaint was with the table service which was a little slow both at dinner and breakfast. Other than that a wonderful stay

We had afternoon tea here, it was very good with a varied selection of savouries and cakes/desserts. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Enjoyable stay in a very good hotel. Bedroom pictures attached. Car park if very small and always full, however the nearby municipal car park had plenty of space with very reasonable costs and free parking overnight. One minor issue in that as an older building the room wasn't going to hide all of the age cosmetically, but that's fine. One major issue, I don't have a problem with the well appointed mini bar, but I would expect to have complimentary still and sparkling water as a basic service to guests. Didn't use the restaurant but it comes highly rated. Breakfast was good, staff exceptionally pleasant, would stay again.

We had a spa day package here. The treatment itself was excellent. However I felt spa was slightly misleading as it was basically a beautiful outside swimming pool. You had to walk from the pool through the grounds (past the restaurant / cafe) to the spa treatment building, it cannot be helped because the building is periodic and these were newer separate buildings purpose built for the spa and pool. Then afterwards we had afternoon tea which was delicious. The staff were extremely polite friendly and courteous I would recommend.

Beautiful dining room filled with sunshine, must see. Quality private dining room for conferencing. Lack of adequate parking on site due primarily to age of building and location. Converted old hospital tastefully decorated in delightful colour scheme. Helpful front of house team. Additional public car parking available nearby in Cathedral and Quays multi storey and opposite.
