Wasted over 30 minutes of my time trying to solve a simple problem that didn't get solved in the end. Having one customer service assistant (who didn't even provide their name to me) within a bank just doesn't cut it when people are waiting to be served. As the papers are stating that this is one of the major banks that money launders, you would think they could afford to pay in order to get more trained staff. HSBC and their staff = Circus with Clowns. Never ever ever use this branch.

Polite, but ultimately useless, unnecessarily complicated and a waste of time. Watching paint dry will be more useful to you than this place.

Absolutely unhelpful. I bank with HSBC in multiple countries. The UK branches are the most inefficient.

Your ATM is a JOKE !!! The hardware has not been designed with the software in mind ! An option appears and as you look down at the buttons and onscreen options, it is confusing, so usually I'll press the button bellow the option I actually want...and it doesnt help that those metal lines were added, as some sort of guide to correct it...really badly designed. If you cant get the navigation on an ATM right in the year 2016, how can you gain customer confidence ?

My mom had old notes and needed to change so we first went to the Bank of Scotland. Couldn't do it without an account with them. Told us to head to Barclay's. Nope. Gotta go to HSBC. We went to the one over at princes street. No counter. Told us to go to the Post Office over at Frederick street or so. They told us it could only be done at the Bank of england all over at London. So we decided to give this branch a shot after all of the disappointments we got. Came over and talked to someone. And thank God they had a counter. Excellent service and welcoming people. Definitely coming over to this branch next time instead!
