  Within walking distance to the airport, You can see it on the way in on the shuttle from New Street Station . Book in advance as walk in prices during Comic com were nearly £120. Rooms are small but warm & tidy. Check in is slow. Meals were nice & there's a pizzeria on site. The down stairs bar/lobby wasn't very warm and they had numerous electric fan heaters dotted about. Staff were helpful & friendly.

  No parking! So park in car park 2 or 3 and get 50% off. That is still £18 for 24 hours, add that onto the bill, it's not quite so inexpensive now! But easy access to the NEC which charges £15? to park for a few hours, so it's swings and roundabouts. Rooms are compact but then what are you doing on the room, sleeping. Comfortable and good shower, food available at an extra, so choice. I wouldn't say avoid, just consider total cost. It worked for us.

  UPDATE: Stayed awake for >36 hours while traveling from Oregon in hopes of having a good 10-13 hours of sleep before tomorrow’s trade show starts. All was going according to plan until, three hours into my sleep-of-the-dead the smoke alarm goes off. It’s been going off now for 30 minutes despite the fact that the staff say it’s not an emergency and probably someone just was smoking in their room. Adrenaline is pumping. Every thirty seconds or so this alarm, which sounds similar to the sirens on UK police cars and is every bit as loud, is going off for one to two seconds. I have little or no hope that I’ll be sleeping much (if any) more tonight. How can they not know how to turn off a false alarm? It’s finally off. Total amount of time with the alarm blaring for a couple seconds at two or three random intervals per minute: 85 minutes. Ridiculous. Original 4 Star Review: Check in takes awhile but the rooms are clean and the mattresses comfortable. Only issue I’m having is the US power outlet in the bathroom is dead. I didn’t bring an adapter.

  Brilliant location. Staff are all really friendly. It's clean and good value for money. Wanted rooms next to each other but they couldn't get them for us, so they gave us all a free drink at the bar! Perfect. You get half price parking too

  Great overnight stop after long flights from NZ. Staff great room too. Nice and quiet and comfy beds. Breakfast too was lovely. 1 continental and 1 full breakfast both all u can eat for under £16 well worth it. Their advert states free shuttle to international railway station, there is but it is not supplied by them it is simply the free monorail from the airport, 5 min walk away. I would recommend booking a room early, we booked 6 months in advance price £59 bargain.
