  I can whole heartedly recommend James & Thomas Funeral Directors at New Haw for their professionalism in such a difficult time for myself and family . From my first meeting with Donna to the hearse leaving Clandon Wood Natural Burial Ground on the day of my husbands funeral they were kind, considerate, compassionate, respectful and always on the end of the phone for any queries I may have had. Donna was so helpful with the arrangements (which seemed a mind field to me) and everything went like clockwork on the day. I cannot praise them enough for everything they did to make a difficult time go so smoothly.

  We used the office on Woodham Lane and I cannot say enough good things about the service we received from all the staff at this company. They were so professional, caring and helpful. We felt such a weight was lifted once they took over. They looked after my Mum so well and we were able to visit her anytime, which greatly helped my Dad. They assisted us in planning the service that we wanted and they were very accommodating. On the day of the service everything went like clockwork. They treated us so very well and I have to say Sam is truly one of the loveliest men I have met. You really feel you are with people who truly care about you. Special thank you to Donna, for being the shoulder I cried on, you really understand the loss people are feeling. Thanks to you all........................The Prince Family

  After arranging the funeral for my late Uncle Keith, myself and family would highly recommend James and Thomas Funeral Directors and in particular Donna at the New Haw branch. Although my Uncle had already made some plans, we did not know where to start. But after our first meeting with Donna, our minds were put at ease. Through what was already a very emotional time, Donna guided us through the whole process and helped us to think about things that hadn’t crossed our minds. She was kind, caring and patient with us and went out of her way to make things easier for all of us. It was a huge comfort to know Keith was being well looked after while he was with Donna. The order of service for Keith that Donna helped us create were highly complemented on by everyone who attended the service and really done Keith proud. Donna’s help meant we were able to give Keith the send off he wanted and most definitely deserved, and is continuing to provide us with help and support while we arrange for my Uncles ashes to be buried. We can not thank Donna and James and Thomas enough for all her help and would not hesitate in recommending them.

  We arranged a funeral for my uncle with James and Thomas having felt the funeral director who we initially went to and who arranged the funeral of his wife was less than helpful. It was very difficult for us as strangers to the area to know who to go to instead. We saw James and Thomas premises by chance and from the moment we walked in and the greeting we received from Donna we knew we had come to the right place. Everything was arranged quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Donna was in touch as necessary and we felt confident and grateful that living hundreds of miles away ourselves everything had been left in good hands. The service went perfectly to plan and in every respect was dignified. A number of people have asked me who the Funeral Directors were subsequently, endorsing me view of the arrangements. Thank you. My thanks go to this team and particularly to Donna who "went the extra mile" .

  So, using a funeral director is not an everyday experience for me. I chose James and Thomas at random. From the start they were polite and prompt with an efficient out of hours telephone line and service. I can honestly say that they did not make a single error throughout. I really felt that they were determined to make my life as stress free as they could in the circumstances. I would definitely use James and Thomas again; I just hope that I do not have to.
