  A great set of guys... I work in the motor industry, and own a car dealership, so I know what to look out for. Honest and welcoming, and certainly the best place to get tyres fitted in the York area. I haven't bought a bike from them, but had MOTs, loads of tyres, a collection and sold them bikes... The give great px prices, and I recommend them hole heartedly.

  I use the garage for my cars and they have always been fantastic and really helpful. Trustworthy and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

  Was advised to visit Jax as a possibility for a triumph Sprint GT, which I did. Met with friendly staff who had just taken charge of a GT. they arranged for a test ride and I left a deposit so no one else could buy. Went for the ride and Andy just gave a rough time frame to be back (1 hour later), I return the bike, had a friendly chat and I’m returning in a couple of days to collect the bike. Although they’re busy, they’ll have the bike serviced and MOT’d for collection. I’d take the negative reviews with a very large bucket of salt and visit yourself and make your own judgement. Would definitely recommend

  I've used Jax quite a few times over the last couple of years for new tyres, MoT's etc. I have to say that I have always found them to be be reasonably priced, polite and courteous and a pleasure to deal with. The negative reviews on here don't make any sense to me and I suspect that they are not actual customers. I'd have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Jax.

  Brought a second hand FZ6 off of them recently, living near London I was apprehensive of buying blind without a test ride or even seeing it in the flesh. Alan answered all of my questions honestly on the phone. They extended the mot for me only thing was I had to wait a good few weeks for delivery of the bike which was understandable coming from York. On the day of delivery I was actually due to pick my wife up from hospital with our newborn baby in tow! it was a stressful day as it was thick snow on the ground and I could not believe they were still out there delivering bikes all day to people around the country. I was kept informed as to when they were to be with me and at about 5pm in the day they eventually delivered the bike, one hour before my wife phoned to say she was ready for me to go and collect her and the newborn. So I had two babies delivered that day. The bike turned out to be better than I expected other than needing a new battery, it seems they had serviced it well with fresh brake pads and the chain and sprockets were all fine and true. So I can recommend them from what I have experienced. One star off for not much communication leading up to the delivery and also the battery needing to be replaced.
