Nicely laid out store and friendly store staff. Not competitively priced on a wide range of products unfortunately. Can find some price gems if you hunt for them. Quite unique and that has to be commended

Very good supermarket store with a traditional style and feel. Great variety of different brands. Particularly good produce and preserves departments. Well laid out with good parking and friendly staff too, recommended!

An excellent independent store which is very convenient for people in the area. It is also a good source of employment in the area. The quality of their in-house products are very good, but you for pay for that quality, and because they are an independent they do not have the buying power of the larger chains who can sell their products at a lower price.

Going for profit over substance. As they've expanded, you can clearly see that someone in the back office is trying to improve their bottom line numbers. The number 1 ingredient in their own brand sausages is breadcrumbs and they are truly revolting! Many of their other own brand stuff is using the cheapest ingredients possible and they don't sell any other competitor items so you're stuck with their inferior product. Their fish counter leaves a lot to be desired too! Friendly staff though and it's always clean.

We visited last week and found that petrol was very competitively priced and we were given a £5 voucher to be used in store redeemable when spending £30. The store is very pleasant and the staff very helpful and friendly. I found a childhood favourite gypsy tart but only in a box of 4. The lady at the bakery counter was very helpful in repackaging them so that I could buy two as I wanted, although this caused her a problem as she discovered the box for two are no longer available and she had to go up to the office to find a price label. She remained cheerful and pleasant throughout this protracted period. We called into the shop as we are house hunting in the area, with customer service like this we will be delighted to make this shop our regular place to do our weekly shop. Mike Keston
