  Stayed here last July using a Red Letter Day voucher. Although it stated no booking in School holidays there wasn't a problem. Lucky enough to be given another Red Letter Days voucher this year so thought we would book again for July. I was turned down flat !! Wasn't even suggested I try their other Hotel in York They weren't exactly inundated with families when we were there last year. Surprised they can afford to turn bookings down. Was just referred back to Red Letter Days re the terms and conditions which I am sure are set by the Hotel. They were exactly the same as last year so it does beg the question why my booking was refused. Disappointing to say the least !!

  我們是從Booking網站找到的，有點晚訂所以貴了點 和朋友在這裡住一晚 房間的設計很復古，有18 19世紀時候的感覺 廁所是乾濕分離的 裡面有自己的小酒吧 要額外付費 早餐也是要填好單字在半夜之前給櫃檯，隔天早上會送到房間裡去 這是一家小小的飯店，在一個很不起眼的地方，一家店的旁邊。 不過出了飯店就是逛街的地方，不用擔心 房間是兩個單人床，房間算大

  Lovely historic building imaginatively converted right in the heart of York . Lots of nice touches in the room giving a nod to it's earlier use as a Judge's Lodging including a pair of handcuffs in the wardrobe (sorry..locked to the rail so cannot be used). Be aware there is no vehicle access to Coney Street during the day. We were staying 5 minutes walk away so could carry the bags. For overnight parking I would recommend the car park on Frederic Street about 15 minutes walk away. There are some drawbacks to the accommodation mainly because of the old nature of the building. The rooms have been shoe-horned in. Our room was behind the reception. Not noisy but you touched noses with your opposite neighbour if you exited at the same time. The room was very dark. No natural light to speak of because the window overlooked the yard at the back. And the shower room was very small and down a couple of steps. Room for one only. Lastly, Coney Street is popular with buskers who use amplifiers although it was not audible in our room. No breakfast provided but plenty of choice within 10 minutes walk. Room cost is pricey, exhorbitantly so on New Years Day. Still it is different and interesting even if you wouldn't want to stay there for more than a couple of days.

  Un hotel fantástico, tranquilo, acogedor y entrañable. Lo único que no tiene sala de estar.

  Interesting decor, lovely spacious rooms and a nice soft bed. Tucked away in the centre of York it was quite convenient for an overnight business stay. Staff were helpful and offered good service. Rooms were clean and tidy. Fantastic bathroom and great toiletries provided. I couldn't figure out how to use the coffee pod machine in the room, but everything else was perfect.
