We stayed here for one night and booked through one of the hotel booking websites. The room was clean but shabby. Bar ok. Staff fine. Breakfast buffet adequate.

Not a bad place to stay, a little price for time of year, but I surpose it's the location. A little bit run down in places.

My husband and I have visited several times and just come back from 3 day stay today plus booked again for 4 nights in July. We love it there my husband remembers it from his Navy days over 50yrs ago. Staff are really friendly. The breakfast is really gd and served promptly. The rooms may be bit dated but adds to the character of the hotel beds lovely and comfy and clean. I personally would highly recommend it as its central to everything. Gun Wharf. Historic dockyard. Trains and Ferries.

Great location, opposite bus and railway station and Gosport ferry. Extremely handy if visiting the Historic Dockyards or wanting to shop at Gunwharf Quay. Car parking facilities two doors down. Our room was large and had an excellent view. Breakfast was good and substantial. The hotel is in need of maintenance though, peeling wallpaper, ceiling plaster falling off, threadbare carpets on the stairs. Despite having a large room we found the bed to be very small. The hotel does have an ancient lift but there are several steps up to the hotel reception and a few more up to the lift which would be a problem if you are unable to carry your own luggage

Cheerful staff. Dated old rooms. Dirty and grimy everywhere you look. Everything has been done half cocked. And then done again. Wall paper peeling off. No money spent on cleaners or decor. Free parking and a decent breakfast. Should lower the rates to reflect the standard really.
