  Been here a few times now, always walked out with a great haircut exactly how I asked.

  Honesty is the best policy ... so here it is ... There was no point in spending £23.00 Barber clearly had other things on his priority list when cutting my hair. I haven’t been to this place in 5 years, and I realise why. Barber felt the need to take a phone call for five minutes ... I asked for a haircut and full beard shape up - instead he gave me a rushed hair cut and beard trim with clippers ... after starting to undo the apron, I reminded him that I wanted a proper shape up. He then begins aimlessly poking on shaving gel to my bare face ... doesn’t even rub it in properly and just starts attempting to give me a shave. Even that doesn’t work because he has to take the 5 minute phone call I mentioned above. He comes back and gives me a meaningless apology, and continues to give me a shape up with no flow ... no attention to detail. Next thing you know the fire alarm goes off, and no one knows what to do, he continues the shape up, and then suddenly stops when the boss eventually says everyone needs to leave... the barber just looks at me and says “you’re done”. I then quietly got my stuff together, paid and left. I couldn’t even be bothered to explain the look on my face ... as this trim was meant to be a quick thing, because I had plans after. I didn’t even describe the haircut ... I read some reviews on here, and thought I’d give the place, benefit of the doubt, but no ... asymmetrical fade, the top has no real shape, - I’m guessing the barber must have thought “here’s another Asian guy, so I’ll just do what every typical Asian guy wants” ... exactly what i got. Finally, don’t bother saying what number you want for your beard, I wanted a number 2 to trim the length and I got a rough handed number 2, followed by a “im going to put number one” ... I’m done ... you get the picture. Boys ... think twice before checking this place out.

  Went there a few weeks ago and it was a bad experience. Walked in said hello but was not greeted. The skin fade was done very quick and there was not much attention to detail. Asked for a mid-high fade but left with a high skin fade. The beard was just trimmed unevenly with the machine and the lines were not done but full price was charged nonetheless. Really bad customer service but whats really sad is that the barber has potential but I knew I was not returning. Plenty of other good barbers in Birmingham but the location of this one is ideal.

  Usually great, unfortunately not all barbers are up to par. The lady who cut my hair today was not very good; I asked for a skin fade and honest to God I've never experienced anything like it. I've had skin fades before and usually the barber will use a cut throat razor and I think nothing more of it.. Not this time. For some reason she decided to use an r electric razor on my head going against the grain and it was really painful, indeed, it's been a couple of hours since my haircut and my head is still stinging really badly. Also when I mentioned the line I wanted (which was pretty clear on the picture I showed her before she started) she had to ask another barber to do it for her, which is not a problem but I feel she has an aversion to straight razors All in all this experience hasn't put me off coming to this barber, which before today has always been excellent, however, I'll be more selective with my barber on my next visit. P. S. I usually have my hair cut my Haj and I find he is a most excellent and skilled barber.

  I didn't know Kings had a Shop on New Street! As a Kings regular, I've used the one a Five Ways many times, so when I found out there was one on New Street I was delighted! Hidden away on the first floor of the Burlington Arcade, Opposite Size? and Above Starbucks it wasn't the easiest place to find - But now I've found it, Just Wow! It must be the biggest Barbershop I've ever seen, with a huge waiting area and even a cinema screen! I was informed they've just had a refit (How long have you been hidden there?) and it looks incredible! The it looks like a high end London salon - but £13.50 for a haircut in the city centre it's more than reasonable! I had my haircut by the manager Haj and he did a fantastic job! Really good attention to detail! This place puts All other barbershops to shame!
