  The only redeeming parts of the experience were that the chair I was sat on was quite comfortable and the cheese trolley was extensive. Went there to celebrate my brother's 18 and my other brother's graduation. Had the tasting menu which was ££££££££ as you'd imagine. This is and will likely be the most expensive meal of my life and has served to put me off this sort of dining, perhaps forever. Disappointing does not even cover it. The dining room is dark and cold, I wore my coat the entire meal. Men were required to keep their suit jackets on, shirt sleeves were banned what century are we in? I don't really remember what we ate it was so forgettable; bland, unoriginal, beige. If you're sticking rigidly to classic food and your the cornerstone of the fine dining movement, you better do it well - parts of the meal were not even well seasoned. As with this kind of dining, the portions are a mouthful or two. At around £45 a main course, it needs to be special. I've had more tasty service station ready made sandwiches. The wine suggestions were not good either, the desserts the most unfortunate part of the meal. We let the restaurant know we were not impressed. We got back 'you clearly drunk a lot and looked like you were having a good time' - not exactly a customer considerate reply. This is a restaurant that seems to very much be resting on its laurels, and those laurels are wearing thin. I expected so much better from Mr Roux.

  Amazing cuisine and service. We started going every other month as we enjoy the tasting menu & wine pairing. Emmanuel has been of most kind service to us. We’re looking forward to the Michel Roux & Locatelli culinary event.

  What a magic carpet ride. Perfect in every way. The staff, the food, oh my God.So amazing in every aspect. They made me feel special, although I know I wasn't. Cannot rate this highly enough. Cannot wait to go back.

  Le Gavroche is one of Michel Roux Jnrs restaurants and was a rare treat for us...and our first 'date' since the birth of our son. The staff were attentive with everyone, treating us (for whom the visit was a rare treat) no different to those who obviously were able to find here regularly. The food was exquisite as was the wine which accompanied the meal. It's an experience we will definitely be treating ourselves to again...and hopefully next time we will get to meet the man himself!!

  I think it's really great that Michel comes out to greet the diners. Really enjoyed the little chat we had. Service was impeccable as you would expect. Presentation was exceptional as you would expect and the whole experience was great. Can't give it 5 stars as for the money part of the main dish was too salty. To the point it had to be left to one side. Although a minor mistake it's not expected in a place like this. Dessert was amazing
