  After having my second child I started to suffer from chronic nerve pain in my hands and wrists, which later traveled up into my arms. The pain increased as my baby grew in strength and weight. Before I started treatment with the Leeds Physiotherapy Clinic I was in acute all consuming pain on a daily basis, unable to go for more than a few minutes without thinking of the pain, crying out every time my toddler bashed my hands or arms or needed me to dress him and on the brink of tears every time my 7 month old baby cried to be picked up or held. It was debilitating and I was spiraling into depression as a result. Prior to attending the Leeds Physiotherapy Clinic I saw two physios in London, where I live, but both failed to properly diagnose the problem and gave me treatment and exercises that only increased the pain. Then on my brother's recommendation I saw his Physiotherapist, Ms Sarah Field, at the Leeds Physiotherapy Clinic. She was instantly able to properly diagnose the source of my pain and explain it in language and terms that I could understand. She gave me treatment which instantly relieved the pain and as a result of this treatment as well as the advice she gave me on my posture and sleeping positions and the exercises she instructed me to carry out on a daily basis, I now have pain free days and the pain I do have is no longer acute or debilitating. Prior to attending the Leeds Physiotherapy Clinic I would have described the pain I was in as being 9 on a scale of 1-10 but after following her advice and just three 1 hour sessions of treatment with Ms Sarah Field across course of three weeks, I would now describe it as being only 1/2 most days on the same pain scale and some days the pain is completely absent. I am now able to lift and hold my baby again without wanting to cry.

  I arrived with a diagnosis for which the GP merely suggested to take steroids for an indeterminate period but since seeing Sarah my mobility and my pain have much improved. Whilst it's slow progress this is a much better and more proactive way for me to deal with my health issues and I can only recommend the Leeds Physiotherapy Clinic for its expertise with muscular-skeletal problems!
